- The guide requires removal of factory or aftermarket rock rails, side steps or running boards.
- Identify the mounting locations and use the brackets and hardware specified in the guide.
- Do not slide or rotate a sidebar on the mounting brackets; the guide warns that doing so can damage the finish.
- Leave the mounting hardware loose until the sidebars are positioned and leveled, then tighten as instructed.
- Inspect the installation periodically to check that the hardware remains secure.
